What the world is waiting for!
Shane Meadows has confirmed that the eagerly anticipated Stone Roses documentary will be premiered at the end of May. Meadows was allowed exclusive access to The Roses during their comeback tour from the first show in Warrington all the way through to Heaton Park and the summer festivals. He was also granted access to rehearsals so there should be some class footage for any Roses nut, like us.
Here’s what Meadows has had to say;
“Well, with the edit in the bag, it’s time for me to climb aboard a choo-choo and start the sound mix and picture grade in London today.
The premiere is at the end of May so there should be more than enough time to get it all over the finish line. I must admit, I’m buzzing about having a cinema release, it’s been a while since I prepared a 5.1 surround sound mix and dusted of my finest M&S clothing for a film premiere!
It is all the more exciting as its my first Feature Length Documentary and I have no idea what to expect either from the release, the public or the press. One thing is for sure, it was the greatest ‘job’ anyone from Uttoxeter (who grew up in the 80’s) has ever had and I still can’t quite believe my luck!”
We are hoping some of the Gigslutz faces have made the cut! I wonder what the odds are on a new track to end the premier? Watch this space….
