Stormzy and Jungle, plus many more, to appear at Lovebox 2016

The new additions join previously announced headliners, LCD Soundsystem and Major Lazer.

Now in it’s fourteenth year, London’s Lovebox has devised a stellar lineup for 2016. Opening for Major Lazer on Friday are critically acclaimed rap duo and cult favourites Run The Jewels. With their charisma and socially conscious lyrics, they’ll be sure to fire up the crowd for Major Lazer’s headline slot.

MØ – AKA the voice of Major Lazer’s global hit ‘Lean On’ – is continuing to make a name for herself in her own right, and will appear at Lovebox, playing tracks from her sophomore album and debut No Mythologies To Follow. Also joining the bill is Jamaican superstar Chronixx, treating the crowd to his modern take on reggae, whilst Stormzy brings his neo-grime to the mix.

Hip hop, grime, and drum and bass will all be represented on the Friday, with US rapper GoldLink, D&B producer DJ Hype & MC IC3, Flava D, DJ Q and Royal T’s project t q d, outspoken emcee Big Narstie and D&B collective Critical Soundsystem.

Lovebox will also play host to unmissable sets from some of the world’s biggest DJs, from Diplo to David Rodigan MBE. Hannah Wants, dirtybird co-founder Justin Martin plus Waze & Odyssey, Friend Within and Billy Kenny will also be in attendance and there will be special collaborative sets from the most exciting names on the UK dance scene with Oneman B2B with My Nu Leng plus Melé + Monki’s NRG Flash.

Joining forces with Lovebox for the very first time, London club fabric will be bringing their own lineup to Victoria Park. fabric say: “As an East London venue ourselves we’re especially delighted to be hosting a stage at this year’s Lovebox and to be bringing a whole lot of what we do and the artists we love to the festival.  It’s taken a lot of work from both Lovebox and fabric to make this exclusive concept happen and it’ll be our first time ever bringing fabric to the field.”

London’s own Jungle will be welcomed to Lovebox on Saturday for an England and Wales festival exclusive. Performing ahead of Saturday’s headliners LCD Soundsystem, Jungle will bring their own take on soul – along with their massively enjoyable live act – to Vthe festival.

Lovebox will also see crowds be serenaded by singer-songwriters with the additions of Chet Faker, Jamie Woon and Jack Garratt. With everything from anthemic eletropop from Oh Wonder to funk and soul from George Clinton elsewhere on the lineup, as well as many more exciting acts, Lovebox 2016 is set to be one of the biggest and best yet.

Lovebox takes place at Victoria Park from 15-16 July. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk/lovebox
