SUNDARA KARMA mesmerise with new single ‘Miss Again’

Sundara Karma have unveiled captivating new single ‘Miss Again’– listen here.

Echoing the poignant ache of separation and the yearning for a lost connection, ‘Miss Again’ is a soul-stirring composition. Its heartfelt melodies and resonant lyrics intertwine to create a bittersweet ode to longing and love left behind.

Speaking about its origins in the studio collaborating with Spector‘s Fred Macpherson and his ambitions for the track, lead vocalist and guitarist Oscar Pollock said: “I’m quietly hoping that Miss Again becomes a crowd favourite at our live shows. It’s so fun to play, even though the lyrics are kinda depressing. The song was written earlier this year when Fred Macpherson and I happened to be out in LA at the same time. We were working on another song but felt a bit jaded by it so we decided to take a break. I remember I went to the loo, and when I came back Fred had started a new track and had programmed in pretty much the whole song. It was an instant vibe. I laid down some guide vocals and for some reason kept singing the phrase ‘Miss Again’ and we thought that would be a great title. It took me a few months to write the rest of the lyrics but I’m really happy with how everything came together.”

The track is taken from the four-piece’s new album ‘Better Luck Next Time‘ due out 27th October via Is Right Records. Recorded with producer Rich Turvey (BlossomsCourteenersThe Wombats), it’s a collection of nine songs exploding with the exuberant indie effervescence that informed the sound of the band’s debut album.

To celebrate the release of their third studio album, Sundara Karma will also be hitting the road on an extensive UK tour planned for this November and December. It sees the band take on eighteen headline gigs around the UK this winter, culminating in a dazzling show in the capital at Electric Ballroom in Camden on the 13th December.

‘Miss Again’ is the forth new single form the upcoming record, following the sweeping and melancholic ‘Wishing Well‘, the pounding opener ‘Baby Blue‘ and modern anthem ‘Friends of Mine‘ – all pointing to this new record being the bands’ most accomplished body of work to date.
