Tame Impala have revealed the news that they’ll be heading to the UK next year to play two shows, with one taking place in London and the other in Manchester.
With two shows planned to take place this week in Liverpool and Glasgow, Australia’s psych troupe will be heading back to the UK in February to play two headline shows. Arranged for February 11 and 12, they will play Manchester Arena and also London’s Alexandra Palace.
The band released their third album Currents this year on July 17, and was preceded by singles ‘Let It Happen’, ”Cause I’m A Man’, ‘Disciples’ and ‘Eventually’. The album marks Kevin Parkers move to more synth-orientated music rather than the guitars which their psychedelic rock originally placed emphasis on, and also having charted at number 3 in the UK album charts, Currents is their highest charting record to date. There will be a pre-sale taking place from 9am tomorrow (September 8) here, and then tickets will be on general sale from 9am Friday (September 10).
