Tame Impala’s third album set for 2015 release

Hold your breath it’s coming: Tame Impala‘s third album.

Revealed via an email sent out by Spinning Top Music – a management company/label which deals with both Australia’s Tame Impala and POND – it has been confirmed that 2015 will see the release of Tame Impala’s follow up album to Innerspeaker and the highly-commended Lonerism.

A snippet of the email sent out reads: “There will be new albums from POND, Tame Impala, The Growl, Gunns and Fascinator as well as tours and shows a plenty from everyone across the Spinning Top roster”.

Although extensive details are yet to be released about the psychedelic rock band’s forthcoming third studio album, Tame Impala’s keyboardist, Jay Watson, has stated while talking to NME that the album currently untitled third album will be “less rock again and more electronic”.

More details are soon to follow but if one thing is for certain: Tame Impala are back.
