This Feeling Track of the Day : Yak ‘Fried’

There’s always been method, madness and 100% realness to Yak but recording their 2nd album sees the band strive for greater heights, putting absolutely everything into a new collection of songs due early next year which frontman Oli says saw him “living out the back of my £205 car, completely broke as all the money we had from the label went into the band. It really felt like the last piece of music we would ever make and that we had to put everything we had into it. That’s where the last lyric ‘if you’re going for broke just make sure you don’t choke’ comes from.”

New single ‘Fried’ is a mind-blowing whirlwind of gargantuan guitars, seismic melodies, euphoric brass and sprawling ambition. The band’s eagerly awaited 2nd LP “Pursuit Of Momentary Happiness” is out February 8. The trio tour the UK March/April. Neither are to be missed.
