Toothless, aka Ed Nash of Bombay Bicycle Club, has announced the details of his debut album album The Pace Of The Passing and released single ‘Sisyphus’.
The album will be released on January 27 via Island Records, and features single ‘Sisyphus’ which was the last song to be written for the album, nearly not making the cut. Joining Toothless for the vocal duties will be friends Marika Hackman, Tom Fleming (Wild Beasts), Liz Lawrence and The Staves. Also, former bandmate Jack Steadman shared production duties with Ed.
For those eager to hear his solo debut, Toothless will be performing the record in full at The Pickle Factory in London on Monday (November 28). He will be announcing more live dates very soon.
In a post on Facebook about the album, Nash said: “It was really only after Bombay stopped two years ago that I realised I wanted to make being a musician a career. Since then I have spent every day writing and recording music for this album.
“The Pace of the Passing refers to our perception of time, and how it seems to speed up as we grow older… fittingly something I spend too much of my time thinking about.”
The Pace of the Passing is available to pre-order now here and is available digitially or on vinyl or CD.
