TRACK: The Black Delta Movement ‘Let The Rain Come’

The Black Delta Movement’s latest single ‘Let The Rain Come’ is loaded with a foreboding menace that signifies the energy surrounding their forthcoming debut album ‘Preservation’.  The Hull-based band have already distinguished themselves on the live music scene- embellishing their name with a psychedelic finesse. Let The Rain Come simmers with a vivacity that is artfully mastered to keep the tension rising throughout the track- a tension which reflects the ceaseless political spitfire that infiltrates the modern world.  “I never really get too political in songs because I think it’s fucking boring,” says co-founder of the band Matt Burr, “however ‘Let The Rain Come’ was more a jab at people who DO get political”. The dark opening to the track saunters on a sinister, but thrilling, backbeat that intertwines with the formidable lyrics ‘vultures circling the road and they’re all just watching as we pick at the bones’.  The consequential feeling this produces is one of a nervous desire for more- a feeling which still consumes the mind long after the song finishes. Let The Rain Come is certainly teasing the senses for the rest of Preservation; demonstrating the creative capability of a band who consistently deliver an exhilarating buzz.
