TRACK OF THE WEEK: Useless Cities new single

Hailing from London noir pop band Useless Cities are releasing an exciting new track entitled Life Is Full Of Endless Possibilities on 15th November on their own label. With influences ranging from Interpol to The Cure the dark shimmer of the band flourish with sparkling guitars and dream like vocals, this new single has finds the band encapsulated in their daydream bubble as they hit the airwaves.

Working with producer Paul Tipler (Idlewild, Placebo, Stereolab) clearly has it’s good points as the new singles testifies to. The track starts with a The Smiths type glistening guitar riff, which enters into a devilish chord sequence before shouty China Crisis sounding vocals enter the ring before some mighty fine feedback scores that knockout blow. Cornelia drifts in with some beautiful harmonies whilst twinkling the ivories to the upbeat skip happy beat.

If this is a sign of things to come the future is looking very rosy for this mighty fine quartet. With further live dates expected for the new year keep an eye on the bands social pages for further news on the wareabouts of this fast becoming popular band.
