New Track: Cupids – ‘Kickin’ In’

Forming in the September of 2015, Cupids have taken not only one of the greatest musical cities in the world (Manchester, of course) by storm, they have also grabbed the country by the balls. During their short time under the name, the band have released some monumental tracks and have truly shown their potential, gaining support from the likes of Paul Weller and also supporting Blossoms on their full-scale tour of the UK.

New track ‘Kickin’ In’ begins with an undeniably infectious groove, with the vocals of Sid Cooper creating a dark mist that overlays the already dark atmosphere. The guitar joins and things escalate further, the fuzz adds a huge amount to the track, leading up to where it truly hits hard.

As the chorus kicks in (sorry), the track escalates to a completely new level – it allows a hungry audience so much more to feast upon. ‘Kickin’ In’ is unorthodox and it is brilliant; surely another dangerously determined addition to the already strong Cupids arsenal.

This is a band who have spent their time well and have, as a result, inevitably learnt their trade, crafting masterpieces that deserve to be discovered.

‘Kickin’ In’ is out now.
