Track Review: Vandettes – ‘Let It All Go’

Hailing from Northern Ireland and currently calling Liverpool home, five-piece Vandettes will soon be performing a showcase at one of the UK’s most iconic venues, The Cavern Club. Following airplay on BBC Introducing Manchester, ‘Let It All Go’ is a charming slice of indie-disco, where a Chic-infused drum and bass section meet guitar work that switches from New Romantic chimes to riffs like The Smiths. The icing on this infectious slice is frontman Robbie’s vocals, with melodies that soar and are complimented with echoed backing vocals in a Mystery Jets sort of style. It’s a track that builds itself into a stirring climax that will leave even the more stubborn toe-tappers desperate for another groove to let it all go to. “Bullet in your head… forget what the memory said…”: It’s a track that won’t be easy to forget.

A slither of this isn’t enough; you’ll want a whole slab of the stuff. More please!
