Tracks Of The Week, 06.04.18

With their new single ‘Love On The Line (Call Now)’ Liverpool-based (via Barrow and Norway) Her’s are solidifying their place as key-players not only in the Liverpool scene but further afield.

Paving the way for spring, ‘Love On The Line (Call Now)’ is an off-kilter love song – a distorted, serenade that will have Her’s fans swooning. It’s unpredictable, unconventional, but oh so lovely in its own right, and the perfect introduction to the band’s upcoming album.

‘Love On The Line (Call Now)’ is 28th March through Heist or Hit, details of Her’s’ debut album to follow.

Known for their killer live shows, Judas are proving that they can do just as well in a studio with their latest single ‘Big Mouth.’

Though we’d be lying if we said we weren’t dying to see this in action at a show, sonically ‘Big Mouth’ does all the talking it needs to. A dose of infectious, no-holds-barred rock ‘n’ roll, ‘Big Mouth’ is unrelenting, and sets Judas up as front-runners in their scene.

Ahead of the release of their debut EP Shadows, AK Patterson have shared the title single.

Described as a ‘woman possessed,’ due to her disappearing into a sort of enchantment each time she sings, AK Patterson’s vocals are just as enchanting for the listener. Switching seamlessly from haunting whispers to unrelentingly strong emotion, reminiscent of childhood influences like Jeff Buckley and Bjork, ‘Shadows’ is a shining example of the truly unique sound AK Patterson has to offer.

Shadows EP is out on 6 July

Back with another dose of glistening indie-pop, Llovers have shared ‘A Second With You.’

Set to “celebrate the positively naïve nature of youth, while also poking fun the reality of the outcome” ‘A Second With You’ is teeming with glimmering optimism. Far away vocals, shimmering guitars, but an anthemic quality that stops it from straying too far into ethereality, ‘A Second With You’ is the latest in a string of releases that see Llovers have everyone head over heels – and we can only see it getting better from here.

Llovers’ A Second With You is out 6th April and will be available on all platforms.

Live:

May
5 – Meet The North Festival, Newcastle
June
14 – Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, London
15 – The Hope & Ruin, Brighton
