Having been creating music as a solo artist now for six years, James Mackenzie – formally of Inverness band The Aquascene – is about to release his new album, Winter (during the height of Summer).

Known throughout Scotland for his folk-filled melodies, emotive lyrics and exquisite vocals, Mackenzie has supported the likes of Midge Ure and Idlewild’s Roddy Woomble, and cites an eclectic range of influences including Neil Young and Charlie Simpson…
