Video Premiere: Practical Lovers – ‘Textbook Romance’

Jack Wiles and Mark Connell, aka Practical Lovers, create synth-filled pop songs that fuse together steady drum-machine beats with emotive melodies and deep, distinctive vocals.

Creating sounds a little reminiscent of the likes of The Postal Service or White Lies, Practical Lovers are set to release a new album later this month. Ahead of this release, they have shared a brand new video for album track, ‘Textbook Romance’. Here’s what lead vocalist Jack has to say about it:

“It’s a cry for a romance which skips all the game playing and second guessing so often found in modern courting, and hopes to find something more straightforward and honest.  The dry delivery on this song reflects how flat and unexciting a relationship like this might be if it was ever to materialise!”

Agony, the upcoming album from Practical Lovers, is out 27 November via I’m Not From London Records.
