Video Premiere: The Silver Furs – ‘Bonnie’

Berlin-based psych-rockers The Silver Furs last year recorded their debut album with The Strokes’ producer, Gordon Raphael. Since then they’ve been playing a number of live shows and spreading the word about their weird and wonderful sounds.

Following the release of the album, the duo have now filmed a video to their track ‘Bonnie’. Filmed in Berlin by John Karlos Evans, it documents Coco and Joe travelling around the city in a dreamy, surreal haze. An uptempo, scuzzy slice of psychedelic rock, ‘Bonnie’ oozes shades of the likes of ’60s pioneers The Velvet Underground, as well as the laid back vibes and languid drawl of The Strokes.

The Silver Furs play live in Berlin this Thursday 24 March at Badehaus. On 12 April, the band also play Bassy for the first time – the classic rock ‘n’ roll club of the Berlin psych scene, which fellow Berlin resident and Brian Jonestown Massacre member, Anton Newcombe, has helped to build the reputation of.

The Swingin Sounds, the debut album from The Silver Furs, is out now.
