WATCH: Anteros share new ‘Call Your Mother’ video

Anteros have taken a trip across to Morroco in their latest video for ‘Call Your Mother’.

The short film, co-directed by frontwoman Laura Hayden and creative director Bella Howard (Lana Del Ray, Courtney Love), is the first of a three-part series shot in Marrakech. They have taken inspiration from Mad Max, the Tank Girl comic book series and Breaking Bad, with Laura journeying around the desert in search of civilisation. Check it out below.

Speaking out the video, Hayden said: “Growing up, leaving home, the first taste of freedom is the sweetest. It leaves a bitter taste in your mouth. Confusion, mess, self-awareness, little big disasters, discovering the grey area.

“Having to stew there for a while. Communication, self-reflection, the BIG picture, the small ones that get you there. Where to look? What happens next? Excitement. Melancholy. You stand still, you move on. You build your own home.”

‘Call Your Mother’ is the first of the trio of releases due before the band’s album release “early next year”, as hinted by Hayden in a Gigslutz interview.
