Hip Hop is more than just a genre of music. It isn’t held back by barriers of religion, race, nationality or language and one artist who demonstrates that more than most is rapper Claudio Marques.
His story is unique and has helped him carve a sound that makes him stand out from the rest. Marques was born in Lisbon, Portugal and moved to London aged 11, without even being able to speak a word of English. Who would’ve thought that years later that youngster would go one to become one of the most exciting rising rap stars in the UK?
After releasing his latest project Overthinking just over a month ago, which has received thousands of plays on his Soundcloud, Marques has returned with a teaser trailer for his latest music video. ‘Kamikaze‘ is the track that will be receiving the video treatment and from the looks of the trailer, it’s going to be pretty special.
It features exclusive shots from the music video, and more unexpectedly Claudio’s voice telling us all about ‘Kamikaze’ and finding himself “somewhere special”. The music video appears to be in black and white, by some mountains/a beach and we also spotted that Claudio and the others involved seem to be blacked out. Does that have some hidden meaning behind it? We’ll definitely be checking out the full video when it drops to find out.
Check out Overthinking below and make sure you’re following Claudio Marques on Twitter to stay up to date on therelease date for the full video.
