Yesterday, legendary rockers Foo Fighters went and surprise-released a brand new single, ‘Run’, a monolithic song of the summer shoo-in, as melodic as it is monstrously heavy.
Returning to our eardrums with a timeless hard rock anthem, showcasing everything that’s made them an unstoppable road and radio conquering machine, ‘Run’ is the first new Foo Fighters music since the band gifted fans with the free Saint Cecilia EP in late 2015.
Filled with thrashing intensity and riotous riffs, all propelled by Hawkins’ pummelling beats and that impassioned squawk of Grohl’s, ‘Run’ is a sign that Foo Fighters are well and truly back on form, and reminds us just why they’re one of the greatest rock bands in the world today. I cannot wait to hear more, and catch them live (for the 14th time…) very soon.
