WATCH: Mr Mini makes an introduction with ‘Hi, I’m Mr Mini’ visuals

Sometimes an artist will come along and bring something different to the scene, be it a new sound, a new ryhming pattern or a new style altogether. Whilst he hasn’t changed the game in terms of world rap music, when it comes to the UK, no-one is doing it like Mr Mini.

At a time when Grime has taken off in a big way and UK rap is also hitting huge heights with the likes of Krept & Konan and Sneakbo leading the way, Mr Mini has decided not to follow along any carefully laid paths that his fellow artists may have forged and has created a sound that is very unique. Whilst many will comment on how it reminds them of a young Eminem, including Mr Mini, who gives a nod to Marshall Mathers in this track, he is not a carbon copy.

‘Hi, I’m Mr Mini’ is a track that fuses a hypnotically addictive rap beat with absurdly hilarious lyrics about topics ranging from wiping bums to Kim Kardashian twerking and cyber bullying. Managing to avoid falling into the stereotype of rapping about money, cars and girls (although a few girls are mentioned, including your mum) Mr Mini keeps his content fresh and interesting making you wonder what he’s going to come out with next.

Talking about being told he’s “too explicit and needs to tone it down” will draw further comparisons to Slim Shady, but for an artist who is really starting to make a name for himself, I’m sure he’ll love being mentioned in the same breath as one of the greatest rappers of all time.
