WATCH: Newham Generals share video for new track ‘Levels’

If this doesn’t get you hyped up then I’m not sure what will! Back with a bang in 2015, D Double E and Footsie aka Newham Generals have shared the video for their brand new track ‘Levels’.

Produced by Taiki Nulight and Black Butter’s My Nu Leng, the bassy, dubstep-influenced beat provides the perfect platform for the Generals to showcase their infamous talents. Although we usually find them on 140bpm grim beats, they are no strangers to more dub-infused beats, having famously appeared on Breakage’s 2009 anthem ‘Hard and as with that track, the pair impress on this track from the off and as they have done throughout their careers thus far, continue to set the levels immensely high.

Whilst Dirtee Stank founder Dizzee Rascal has recently returned to a more grimey sound with his last two tracks, which interestingly were produced by Footsie, the Generals have consistently maintained their status as one of UK urban music’s most consistent performers within the grime scene and this will do nothing to hurt that status at all. As D Double and Footsie have both enjoyed success with recent solo tracks, it is great to see them back on a track together, going back to back and doing exactly what they do best.
