WATCH: Newham Generals share visuals for new track ‘Murkin Yearly’

Thy dynamic duo are back at it again and have graced us once more with another outstanding track. Footsie and D Double E aka Newham Generals never seem to stop working and their latest track ‘Murkin Yearly’ is a blatant nod to that.

With a chorus that repeats “keep on murkin yearly / keep on working yeah we / work hard / work hard”, the Gens seem intent on making sure that everyone knows exactly how much work they put into the scene and rightly so as for the last decade or so they have done exactly that, work hard.

The track itself, whilst still maintaining their grime sound, is actually a little bit lighter than what we’ve previously heard from ‘Darren and Dan’, with delicate piano chords during the chorus offering a contrast to the trappy, bassy grime beat during the rest of the track. With both D Double and Footsie currently enjoying success with their solo material, it is always good to see them together on tracks and this one is no different.
