WATCH: QOTSA Announce New Album ‘Villains’ And Preview New Song

Following a number of mysterious posts online teasing new work, Queens Of The Stone Age have announced their next album, Villains – their first record since 2013’s Like Clockwork. The title was revealed in a little album trailer video, directed by Liam Lynch. In it, Josh Homme and the band take a polygraph test where they deny the LP’s title; the machine, of course, detects their lies. Also revealed in the trailer is that Villains is produced by Mark Ronson, who appears in the clip. A snippet of the first single, ‘Feet Don’t Fail Me’, is also played.

In a recent interview, Homme said that the album will be “untempo” and compared it to “a panther in the trees leaping out of the darkness.” Since Like Clockwork, Homme has scored In the Fade, a film which debuted at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, and worked with Iggy Pop on 2016’s Post Pop Depression.
