WATCH: Scrufizzer shares animated visuals for ‘Love Affair’

I hope you get my point, like a decimal” exclaims West London MC Scrufizzer on his latest track ‘Love Affair’ and once you’ve heard the track, you certainly will do.

Known for his upbeat grime tracks and lyrically swift bars and endlessly being likened to Dizzee Rascal, ‘Love Affair’ sees Scrufizzer demonstrate a far more measured vocal pace than we have seen from him before and, over a beat that is heavily influenced by classic hip hop, this adaptation of his more familiar style works brilliantly. Whilst still utilising creative metaphors and slick rhyming patterns, Scrufizzer evidences his ability to adapt to beats outside of the grime genre superbly and this steady approach is sure to open him up to a new audience who perhaps may have distanced themselves from the harder grime sound.

The addition of Haile’s choruses breaks up the continuous barrage of Fizzer’s rhymes and provides some time to think and take in the content of a track that really is more thought provoking than you may realise at first. The video is also hugely enjoyable and the creative animations by Emmie Bednall ensure that the visuals stand out from the majority of UK urban videos of recent times.

Signed to Black Butter Records, who have helped launch the likes of Clean Bandit, Jess Glynne and Gorgon City into public consciousness recently, Scrufizzer is set to drop his Fizzology EP in the first part of 2015 and after hearing ‘Love Affair’ and having seen the kinds of quality Fizzer can offer through previous tracks such as ‘Kick It’ and ‘#ThatsASheg’, we are eagerly anticipating that EP to drop!
