Following last year’s incredible album The Big Fit, Washington-based step-sister duo Skating Polly have now become a trio with the addition of their brother Kurtis, and announced the release of a brand new EP. Co-written by Veruca Salt’s Louise Post and Nina Gordon, who reached out to the young band looking to collaborate, New Trick is set to hit our ears next month.
Ahead of the EP’s release, Skating Polly have now shared a new video for ‘Hail Mary’. Oozing the band’s distinctive raw passion, scuzzy, emotion-strewn melodies and gritty energy, along with an admirable empowering sentiment, the latest offering is everything you could hope for from this inspiring band. Just when I thought I couldn’t love Skating Polly any more, this fantastically impassioned new creation has gone and proved me wrong.
