Of ‘Spiked Flower’, Swervedriver’s Adam Franklin says: “We were recording in downtown LA and Television came and played Marquee Moon next door to the hotel we were staying at. On the Sunday as I walked to pick up my laundry, I saw Tom Verlaine climb into a car on a side street and then Jimmy had this riff and I started singing “why don’t you talk to me?” to the riff and it made me think of Marquee Moon. It didn’t sound like them in the end though.”

Swervedriver have also just announced their first UK show of 2019, performing at London’s Brixton Academy on Feb 1st, alongside The Dandy Warhols, celebrating 25 years of their iconic album Welcome To The Monkey House.
