Following Madonna’s ‘little stumble’ (who are we kidding, she held as much airtime as Michael Jordan) last night at the Brits, which sent the world of news and social media into turmoil, we decided to make the most of occasion, and reminisce on some of the most monumental mishaps to ever take place in the world of music;

Bono

Who else would be better than the infamous villain of the world of music? It goes without saying that this video of Bono falling over backwards whilst onstage in Miami will fill many of your days full of immense satisfaction – not to mention it was the opening night of the tour…

 

Katy Perry

Katy Perry might be one of the most sweet-faced women in the world of pop music, but it can’t be denied that this ‘sweet’ stunt that saw the star jump into a cake face-first backfired at the MTV awards when she couldn’t stand up afterwards.

Robbie Williams

Ahh, the ultimate stealer of British mother’s hearts. However, Robbie Williams wasn’t so smooth when he stumbled onstage in Leeds, and then stating that “he looked like a twat”. Hey, you said it Robbie…

Steven Tyler

This inclusion may not be much of a surprise seen as though the Aerosmith front-man has gained himself the reputation of one of the most surreal frontmen in rock. Here he is after some rather graceful dancing plummeting offstage in South Dakota – a member of the crowd states “that’s rock ‘n’ roll”, however I’m too sure Tyler would agree.

 

Lil’ Wayne

Yes, Lil’ Wayne is a Lil’ bit of a douchebag, and his rather hilarious slip across half the length of a stage reinforces this.

Corey Taylor

Corey Taylor is undoubtedly one of the most charming men in the world of ‘heavier’ rock. However, when he puts that mask on as he performs with Slipknot, he arguably becomes one of the toughest characters around, so it must of hurt when he twisted and stumbled onstage when he himself even admitted it.

 

Justin Bieber

To the opposite spectrum of the ‘toughness’ scale now, and no matter how hard Bieber tried during his best Claud Van Damme impression, he still came out looking like a fool…

 

P!nk

P!nk comes across as some tough cookie, but it must be admitted that anyone would feel the effects of this monumental fall offstage into the barrier after a harness failure;

 

Shakira

Shakira takes the faceplant award in this list. Not much else needs to be said.

Chris Brown

This Chris Brown show did in fact look pretty spectacular with all the lights and what not, and it undoubtedly became even more spectacular when Chris Brown took a beating on the stairs on the stage, arguably to some of the audience’s amusement.
