WATCH: US rapper Emerson Windy recruits P Money for ‘Come Get It’

When I spoke to US rapper Emerson Windy back in 2014 (here), he was intent on coming over to the UK and making his musical mark. Having featured artists and producers ranging from Lil Wayne, Raekwon and Timbaland on his last album Herojuana, he needed an artist and producer on this side of the Atlantic to help him launch himself within the UK market.

The two men he called upon were South East London MC P Money and London-based producer S.K.I.T.Z Beatz and ‘Come Get It Remix’, which also features Clipse rapper Pusha T, is the outcome of their collaboration.

Originally produced by legendary beatmaker Timbaland, ‘Come Get It’ was a slower paced Hip Hop track, but once S.K.I.T.Z got his UK hands on it, the bass was raised, the bpm was increased and a beast of a remix was created. With P Money bringing his consistent lyrical prowess and wordplay to the track with a verse of pure grime fire, the remix is definitely not one to be missed, so check out the video below and keep your eyes peeled for more UK crossovers to come from Windy in the near future…
