With some blues, R&B and rock’n’roll influences, Dr. Feelgood is believed to be the leader of the second generation of punk rockers. Wilko Johnson was Dr. Feelgood’s guitarist from 1971 to 1977.
Roger Daltrey was, obviously, The Who’s great singer.
These two big personalities have recently collaborated to a new album which will be released in March, and is said to be a “farewell” album since Wilko Johnson has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer.
The upcoming album, titled “Going Back Home”, will feature a cover of “Can You Please Crawl At Your Window?”, a 1965’s song by Bob Dylan, and ten tracks belonging to Johnson’s solo career and Dr. Feelgood and Solid Senders’ time.
Recorded last November, “Going Back Home” will be launched by a gig at Shepherds Bush Empire in London on February 25th.
