Windowspeak unveil new record 'Expect The Best'

Brooklyn band, Windowspeak have unveiled their plan to take over the airwaves again – in the form of a new album and fresh single, ‘Dog’.

Expect The Best is the title of Windowspeak’s forthcoming record, set to be available from August 25 via Captured Tracks. Written by the group’s lead singer, Molly Hamilton, Expect The Best features nine tracks including ‘Good Sport’, ‘The Dream’ and ‘Dog’.

The latter song has been released as the first rip-roaring single to be taken from Expect The Best, which was written in Tacoma, Washington. You can listen to ‘Dog’, below the LP’s official tracklist.

Regarding how her songwriting abilities have changed, Hamilton said: “In the past [I’ve] felt compelled to write songs that are more optimistic than I’m actually feeling, as if I could make it true, as if everything in the past was significant or beautiful in a way, even if it was painful’.

“But the truth is that not everything makes sense, and not every day of your life is an experience of clear cut emotional clarity.”

Expect The Best is the follow-up record to 2015’s All Yours.
