Y NOT Festival release cancellation statement

After a rumble with “adverse weather conditions across the weekend”, Derbyshire’s Y NOT Festival has announced its final day of music/camping is cancelled.

The festival called the cancellation this morning, meaning the likes of Happy Mondays, Black Honey, The Cosmics and Bang Bang Romeo, who were all due to perform today (30 July), are unable to take to stages.

Posted to Facebook just before 9 am, Y NOT Festival said they were “very sorry for the disappointment and disruption caused to everyone who was looking forward to the final day of the festival.”

Addressing the concern of refunds, Y NOT continued to say “We will be giving all our guests further information about this over the coming days.”

The festival itself has advised those who are still at the festival to “pack their tents and belongings and leave the site calmly over the course of the day”.  However, if you are staying on site until Monday or cannot leave in wake of the cancellation, Y NOT has said they will “provide support in the form of campsites, welfare and food stalls which will be open and staffed throughout.  If you are planning on staying, please do not pack up your tent and equipment.”

Both medical and welfare services are continuing to operate on site for those who require assistance.

If you are currently at Y NOT Festival stay safe and stay tuned into social media for updates.
