PELA SHARE THEIR DREAMY, CLASSY SECOND SINGLE ‘SOUTH OF’

PELA share their new single ‘South Of’ ahead of its release on Friday, showcasing a classy and distinctive electronic dreampop vision.

Released on June 12, this is the second single from the South London duo, comprising of Hannah Coombes and Olly Shelton.  They count James Blake, Bon Iver, KAYTRANADA and Little Dragon among their influences, though we can detect a touch of the weird-pop of FKA Twigs and the icy emotional pull of Portishead going on in there too, especially in Hannah’s intimate vocal style.

It’s perhaps no surprise to learn, then, that after working with London Contemporary Voices and the Roundhouse Choir previously, the pair have already shared stages with artists such as M.I.A., Young Fathers and Basement Jaxx in their short career to date.

The duo are urging fans to head to their Bandcamp page to buy the track, as they’ll be donating all the proceeds from here to two campaigns – the Black Lives Matter UK fund and Justice for Breonna Taylor.
