Dance Like I’ve Got Diamonds announce Dalston event

Dance Like I’ve Got Diamonds are gearing up for their latest event to support women in music, this time taking place in Dalston.

An event specifically curated to engage with female empowerment and combat major UK festival promoters who seem to turn a blind eye to women in the music industry, the Dance Like I’ve Got Diamonds night at The Victoria in Dalston is set to be their biggest yet.

On June 1, 2017, alternative trio, Long Teeth and The Nyx will support the likes of post-punk/garage band, Ghost Car and the Garbage-indorsed duo, The Pearl Harts – making up the bill for the third instalment of the Dance Like I’ve Got Diamonds legacy.

The fairly fresh London promoter showed its strength in March 2017, by putting on a completely sold-out event at The George Tavern, in aid of International Women’s Day.  The event was headlined by the up-and-coming indie punk trio, The Tuts and spouted an all-female line-up.

The forthcoming event, just like the promoters’ previous events, is aimed to “bring forward female artists and encourage more women to take part in the music community.”

Tickets for the Dance Like I’ve Got Diamonds event, showcasing some of the best female/female-fronted bands in the punk and indie scene, are available now via DICE.  Tickets are priced at £5 online, but are available for £7 on the door, on a first-come-first-served basis.
