Discovery Of The Week: Posture

“I’m too young to be so bitter” is the chorus line yawned out in this brand new single from Posture. Backed with jangling surf guitars and gentle snare, these boys from the South coast excel in this five minute debut track.

No one wants to be bitter all day, and this compressed and almost lo-fi slacker track is a great way to ensure that. The chill vibes created by some subtle synths in the extended instrumental outro are lazy, but full of spirit all at once. It’s effortless but precise. It’s brilliant.

‘Bitter’ is being released on Echochamp, a Brighton-based record label who have already championed the excellent Sulky Boy and Manuka Honeys. Hopefully this should confirm for you that Posture rock; and, if these names mean nothing to you, I’d recommend taking a few minutes out of your day to rectify that.

Posture will support Bloody Knees at their headline show in Brighton promoted by Echochamp, in association with DIY.
