EXCLUSIVE: The Magic Es share new single/video 'Nothing In Your Way'

The Magic Es return today, sharing their anthemic new single and video ‘Nothing In Your Way,’ exclusively on Gigslutz.

The first in a run of new singles set for 2018, and hot off last year’s debut album It Goes On, ‘Nothing In Your Way’ is a dose of intense, guitar-driven indie-rock.

Speaking of the track, frontman Pete Thompson says: “It was written for a friend who was going through some tough times – it was the easiest way I could say ‘I’m here for you and so are all your mates… we’ll help you through this.”

Initially recorded as a demo seven or eight years ago, Thompson revisited the track, breathing a new lease of life into it for 2018.

Since forming in 2014, The Magic Es have been busy. All lifelong musicians with world tours, top 40 singles and a wealth of musical experience under their belts, the boys came together after a chance meeting at a wedding led to them finding common ground in the simple pleasures of classic records. Fittingly for a band steeped in 60’s pop and classic rock, they’ve adopted a similar work ethic to their musical heroes – releasing a string of singles and a debut album in the last two years, and picking up press acclaim from XS Noize, Songwriting Magazine, BBC Radio and many more in the process.
