THIS FEELING ALIVE INTERVIEW: BANG BANG ROMEO

Born off the back off This Feeling club nights and festival stages, This Feeling – Alive tour, sees headliners Bang Bang Romeo, The Shimmer Band and Blackwaters head out around the UK, supported by more of the best new bands around, to celebrate indie music in 2017 and the power of new bands.

As the tour continues, we’re catching up with the headliners. Last, but by no means least, Bang Bang Romeo…

Describe the band in 3 words

Holy Preaching Nectar.

And what can people expect from your live shows?

Expect the best performances of our lives. Blood, sweat, tears and impromptu decisions. We won’t be holding back from the drama!

Funniest gig/tour experience?

Would have to be when Rich our drummer, got locked in the boot of a Bandidos car in Spain.. To get locked in one of the country’s most wanted criminals cars, and live to tell the tale is quite a feat, well done Rich.

Who would be on your ideal festival lineup (to play alongside)?

It would have to be Radiohead, Queen and Oasis.

A band can dream..

What song do you wish you’d written?

‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’ – George Harrison/The Beatles. What a fucking stunning tune. Never fails to arouse goosebumps, ever.

Who should we be listening to at the moment?

Hello Operator and The Wholls are both doing some exiting and special things right now. Hello Operator are working with Tony Visconti, and The Wholls have just signed to SONY. Can’t both be wrong can they?!

Why are promoters/nights like This Feeling so important?

This Feeling and co are giving bands and artists, the REAL bands and artists a platform, a stage and a fucking chance. Mikey Jonns truly believes in every single band that he promotes and works with, labels could learn a lesson or two from him, just sayin’.

This Feeling Alive tour continues until 15 October.
