A Brief History: Now in it’s twelfth year,  SW4 will once again be bringing together the leading lights of EDM majesty for a good ol’ fashioned weekend of raucous rave. Originally founded as a back yard party, and attended by two hundred dance loving Australians back in 2001, things were made official in 2004 after organisers grew tired of battling local police and environmental health workers. The one day event soon grew into a weekend bash back in 2010. Now with capacity increases, a plethora of new stages and some of the worlds biggest DJs attending, SW4 has become a staple in many EDM lovers diaries.

How To Get There: SW4 takes place in South London, Clapham Common. It’s well served by all forms of public transport and is easy to reach by underground, overground, road and rail. The nearest tube station is Clapham Common/Clapham South.

Gigslutz Top Tip: Pace yourself! With so much dance music to absorb, you might very well dance yourself into a coma before 4pm. Not only will your fellow ravers look down on you, but you run the risk of missing headline sets from Faithless and Skrillex! Not a good look…

Memorable Moments: Deadmau5 reminding the world why he is the greatest with a masterful set at last years event. Flux Pavilion’s Bass Cannon rattling the entire festivals rib-cages back in 2013.  Fatboy Slim christening the festivals new two day format with a mind blowing performance back in 2010.

What We Said Last Year: “How does 80+ of the World’s leading DJs and live electronic acts, across two days in central London sound? Yeah I thought so”

Did You Know? SW4 was crowned “best festival” 2014 at DJ Magazine’s Best of British awards.
