Gigslutz x DECSandLondon: HARD HITTERS 001

Each week, our ‘Hard Hitters‘ list, compiled alongside UK streetwear brand DECSandLondon, brings you the biggest and best new music. Featuring a mixture of established artists and up & coming talent, we aim to give you a well rounded view of the tunes we think you need to hear right now…

Young Spray ft Giggs ‘Gangster For Certain’

Having made a huge name for himself in the UK scene over recent years, rapper Young Spray has teamed up with prolific Peckham wordsmith Giggs on this one. With a gritty, UK hood sound, ‘Gangster For Certain’ is definitely a street anthem in the making. Follow Young Spray on Twitter.

C4 ft Jme ‘Go Back’

Taken from the C4RAGE EP which you can grab on iTunes here, Mancunian artist C4 has joined forces with Jme on this garage-infused-dancefloor-banger. When this comes on in a rave, you won’t want to be anywhere else but the dancefloor. Follow C4 on Twitter.

Paigey Cakey ft Geko ‘NaNa’

She can rap, she can sing, she can act. Is there anything Paigey Cakey can’t do? ‘NaNa’ is a track that showcases her gleaming vocals once again and having joined forces with one of Manchester’s biggest artists Geko, this team is undoubtedly a winning one. Coco ‘Big Bou Yah’

Produced by Toddla T, Sheffield artist Coco has definitely hit the jackpot with this one. Showcasing his skill on the mic as well as his lyrical ability, ‘Big Bou Yah’ sees Coco rep Sheffield superbly. Talking about the video, he said, “I wanted to create an organic image of the city I’m from involving all my mates. It’s involves the people that are important to me in my home city”. Lethal Bizzle ft Stormzy ‘Dude’

Whilst Stormzy is an Adidas man through and through, it was only a matter of time before we saw him in some Dench-wear and now is that time. Lethal Bizzle has recruited the South London artist for his latest track ‘Dude’, which again sees him team up with producer Diztortion who also made his smash hit ‘Fester Skank’. Figure Flows ‘Homage’

Although he’s normally found flowing over a rap beat, when he spits over this classic production from Ruff Sqwad, Figure Flows shows that he is more than capable of holding his own. Paying homage to many Grime artists from the scene, he remixes lines from the likes of Stormzy, D Double E and Skepta and the only disappointment is that this is only 2 minutes 30 seconds long. Novelist ‘Endz’

Lewisham MC Novelist takes everyone back to the foundation days of the Grime scene with new track ‘Endz’. The accompanying video even looks as though it was filmed on some handheld cameras back in 2003. A nice touch from an artist who only turned 18 this year. Follow Novelist on Twitter.
