Gigslutz x DECSandLondon: HARD HITTERS 004

Each week, our ‘Hard Hitters‘ list, compiled alongside UK streetwear brand DECSandLondon, brings you the biggest and best new music. Featuring a mixture of established artists and up & coming talent, we aim to give you a well rounded view of the tunes we think you need to hear right now…

Chase & Status ‘More Ratatatin ft Giggs’

The second instalment from Chase & Status’ London Bars series sees Peckham supremo Giggs take up the vocal duties following on from Frisco’s collaboration with the production duo. This is yet another dose of seriously bass-driven, unadulterated Grime for your ears and with the next track in the series seemingly coming from Bonkaz, prepare for more sick tunes very soon. Follow Chase & Status on Twitter and Facebook.

AJ Tracey ‘Selenki’

As part of the new generation of Grime MC coming through, North Londoner AJ Tracey is very well respected in the scene. He’s returned with the audio for his brand new track ‘Selenki’. With his Alex Moran EP set to drop soon, get to know this fast-rising talent. Follow AJ Tracey on Twitter and Facebook.

The Age of L.U.N.A ‘Boom’

Taken from the LIVE UNDER NO AUTHORITY mixtape, which you can download for free here, ‘Boom’ is a tribute to Wu Tang Clan legend Ol’ Dirty Bastard. The Hip Hop collective have been hugely impressive over the last 18 months and have really made their mark on the UK scene. This one features the vocal talents of Butch and Kyote. Kwazi Court ‘Black Boys*Black Vans ft Y.T, Lash Vanegro & NinoTheMenace’

The self confessed ‘King of Rock n Rap’ has returned with a brand new track this is very much of the rap variety. Kwazi Cort impressed us with his ‘CRB Freestyle’ earlier in the year and ‘Black Boys*Black Vans’ is another huge track. Keep your eyes on this guy! Follow Kwazi Cort on Twitter and Facebook.

CASISDEAD ‘What’s My Name Remix ft Giggs’

When the original version of this track came out recently, we were instant fans and history has repeated itself as CASISDEAD recruits Giggs to provide a verse on the remix. Never ceasing to impress with his tales of drugs and criminal activities, CASISDEAD is undoubtedly one of the best underground talents in the UK right now and the link up with Giggs is a brilliant combination. Follow CASISDEAD on Twitter.

Shola Ama ‘Smoke & Mirrors’

The legend has returned! Shola Ama has shared a brand new track produced by Toddla T and the spacey, electronic beat merges perfectly with Shola’s vocals to remind us exactly why why this BRIT and MOBO Award winning vocalist is so well loved. Follow Shola Ama on Twitter.

Maxsta ‘100 Problems’

As soon as the Maniac instrumental kicks in, you know this is gonna be a track to remember. Maxsta does not fail to disappoint and his rapid, skippy bars demonstrate his incredible talent as a Grime artist. ‘100 Problems’ is sure to catch the scene’s attention and rightly so. Follow Maxsta on Twitter and Facebook.

Isaiah Dreads ‘Lights Turn Green ft Saskilla’

18-year old Dorset based MC Isaiah Dreads is really making a name for himself this year. Having released his Nothin But A Mixtape project earlier this year to huge acclaim, he’s back with a brand new track ‘Lights Turn Green’ featuring Saskilla. This track is the title track from his forthcoming mixtape of the same name and we’re agerly anticipating that release. Follow Isaiah Dreads on Twitter and Facebook.

SeeJay100 ‘100 Seconds Freestyle (Part 1)’

Following the release of his well-received debut mixtape Always 100 with collaborations from Stormzy, Bonkaz, Scorcher, DVS and more, South London rapper SeeJay100 returns with a new freestyle ‘100 Seconds’. The bars on show during this track are so sick, you’ll be hitting that replay button as soon as it’s finished. Follow SeeJay100 on Twitter and Facebook.

US IMPORT: Gavlyn ‘Yall Ain’t Shit ft Olivia Braga’

Whilst our Hard Hitters list is usually reserved for homegrown UK talent, we had to give a special mention to this brand new one from US rapper Gavlyn. Taken from her fourth album Make Up For Your Break Up, this one is one is a wavey banger and sees Gavlyn at her very best. Follow Gavlyn on Twitter and Facebook.
