GITA UNVEILS DEBUT EP ‘ESCAPING THE DREAM WORLD’ – LISTEN NOW

Now the Harlem by way of Oakland rapper releases her debut EP ‘Escaping The Dream World’, which can be downloaded free HERE

Executively produced and entirely self-written and self-released, the seven-track EP collates those three early singles with four new tracks to create an enthralling sneak peek into Gita’s surreal world of idiosyncrasies. Like a futuristic concoction of larger than life 90s rap imagery that’s been transported through the internet, Gita delves into the gritty and the luxurious in equal measure, putting her own quirky twist on things and delivering it with such effortless self-assuredness, that it’s plain hard not to be thoroughly captivated.

Recorded in Manhattan, the EP features production from six new underground talents: DJ Two Stack$ (‘Hood Rich’ and ‘Let That’), Heartbrak3 Kid (‘Yachts, Kaviar’), Curren$y / Mac Miller producer Brandun DeShay (‘Benjii’), Gabe Niles (‘Raising Pulses (Blabbity Blab Blab)), the man behind the Danny Brown collabs ‘Blueberry (Pills & Cocaine)’ and ‘Cherryade’, London’s Darq E Freaker (‘Mardi Gras’) and John Lass (‘SuedeNSilk’).
