INTRODUCING: ATO X EDEN

Collaborations are a often a thing of brilliance; think how awful the world would be if Mos Def and Talib Kweli had never brought us Black Star! But collaborations can also be a thing of nightmares; think LL Cool J doing his best to tarnish his long and illustrious career with that awful track with Brad Paisley ‘Accidental Racist’…

Thankfully, the side project collaboration between rising artists Ato Alexander and The Eden Project, who have thankfully named themselves ATO X EDEN for those who struggle to keep up, are part of the former and their latest track ‘You Know’ is a slice of UK urban brilliance.

The electro beat that Eden creates provides the perfect soundtrack to Ato’s skilled London flow and with a chorus featuring the lyrics “You know / I’m not tryna be different like you know / I’m just putting it down letting you know”  we’re left in no doubt these two are not about hype and bravado but are simply passionate about great music.

Having met in Eden’s hometown of Dublin, the duo initially put out a track entitled ‘Notion’ which introduced the pair’s collaboration to the masses. With a super merge of their hip hop and electro influences, ATO X EDEN are set to have a bright future and whilst their solo successes have been built on the quality of their individual talents up to this point, we’re sure there is plenty more to come from them as a pair and we can’t wait to hear it!
