Jack Garratt announces headline show at Village Underground

Fresh from Radio 1’s Future Festival, hosted by the all powerful Zane Lowe, Jack Garratt has been tipped as the one to watch (or just listen to) in 2015, and rightly so. It seems he doesn’t have time to waste, as the multi-instrumentalist Buckinghamshire whiz kid has announced his first headline show of the year at Village Underground, London on 26th May.

Having been heavily backed by BBC Introducing since first uploading a track in 2009, Jack had his first run-in with the Lowe when his track ‘Worry’ was showcased as the Next Hype record. After which, things really kicked off for Jack, having been chosen to play the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festival in 2014 and smashing it.

If his Future Festival showcase is anything to go by, Jack’s first show of the year is set to be scorcher. “But what can we expect?” I hear you ask. Well, forget everything you know about one-man bands and watch in awe as he generates drum samples with one hand, masters the keyboard with the other, and strums up electrifying guitar solos in-between. Angelic vocals wrap everything together and the result is a soulful, electro-pop masterpiece.
