Jorge Wilson makes electrifying debut with retro single Falling In Love

Indie pop newcomer Jorge Wilson makes his long awaited debut with the release of Falling In Love, arriving on all major streaming platforms on Friday, May 30th, 2025. As an independent artist, Wilson weaves nostalgia and raw honesty into his music—qualities that shine through in his debut single. With emotion filled lyrics and a sound that feels modern but vintage, Falling In Love showcases a songwriter whose relatability and emotional depth set him apart from the crowd.

Following his departure from former band The Underclass, Jorge Wilson has been refining his sound and crafting a new artistic identity. Falling In Love offers the first taste of his solo vision—a vibrant debut that fuses modern pop with a warm, nostalgic glow. Built on shimmering 80s-inspired synths and bright, jangly guitars, the track nods to influences like Tears for Fears and Mac DeMarco, while delivering infectious hooks and a chorus that echoes long after the final note.

“Falling In Love was one of the first songs I wrote for this project so it only felt right to release it as my debut single. Originally it was a love song but once I’d connected the verse and chorus together I realised it was the opposite. I let it flow into a song about falling for someone again but then realising that it’s not what it once was and the turmoil that comes with that.”

The song was recorded at Dead Door Studios in Hazel Grove, Stockport, with producer Steven Griffiths. The production boasts a polished, clean sound while still retaining the indie edge through Jorge’s instrumentation and emotionally honest lyrics. Nearly all of the track’s instrumentation was performed by Jorge himself, with some help from Steven and guitarist Charlie Cole, who added the finishing touches.

Ultimately, “Falling In Love” marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Jorge, as he steps into the artist he’s always envisioned becoming.
