Kasabian’s Tom Meighan Pays Respects to LCFC Owner After Helicopter Crash

“It feels like it’s died, the dream is dead” – Tom Meighan.

Back in 2016, Leicester City beat the 5,000:1 odds of becoming Premier League champions. To celebrate, Kasabian housed a huge show at their own King Power Stadium.

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the owner of Leicester City, died in the recent helicopter crash along with two members of his team, the pilot and a passenger as it crashed outside King Power stadium on Saturday

Meighan said: “They’ve been amazing. They’ve come in and got us out of debt and avoided relegation. They won the Premier League and now it’s this. It feels like it’s died, the dream is dead.”

On a separate occasion, Meighan wrote I remember meeting him, I met him a couple of times. We played the stadium here twice. I met on the stage, said hello and gave him a hug. Amazing memories and it just feels like it is dead. I think Leicester City feels dead at the minute. It is going to take a long time to recover.”

Kasabian also took to Twitter to pay their respects, and alike the band states, “our thoughts are with everyone at @LCFC, their friends and their families.X”

Watch what Meighan had to say to Global Newsroom below.
