King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard surprise-release LP, ‘Sketches of Brunswick East’

The bright sparks of brilliant colour, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard have surprise-released a new record today, (18 August) marking their third LP to be dropped in 2017.

Sketches of Brunswick East follows earlier 2017 albums Flying Mictrotonal Banana and Murder of the Universe.  It is thought, come to the end of the year, that the band will have put out another two long plays – making the total albums released in 2017 by King Gizzard rise to a colossal 5.

The new album, which is available to stream via Spotify now, features thirteen tracks, including ‘A Journey to S(Hell)’, ‘Dusk To Dawn On Lygon Street’, ‘Cranes, Planes, Migranes’ and ‘D-Day’.  The LP, which runs 37 minutes in total, was reportedly inspired by the suburban area of Melbourne where King Gizzard both record and write music – Brunswick East.

Sketches of Brunswick East is available to stream below.
