KING GIZZARD & THE LIZARD WIZARD – Share brand new track, ‘If Not Now, Then When?’

Following the release of their most recent studio album, K.G. in November, the indefatigable King Gizzard & The Lizard have today shared a stunning animated video for a brand new track, If Not Now, Then When?

Talking about the video, the New Zealand based director / animator / graphic artist Dr D Foothead said:

The song made me consider how individual action or inaction affects the world. What happens when our repressed pain, darkness and confusion manifest and influence our surroundings and relationships? I wanted to explore the journey of a character who has neglected their inner shadow, and how this energy manifests physically and becomes a force of its own.

Showing no signs of slowing down, last month also saw the release of live album Live In San Francisco ’16 and companion live concert film and earlier in the year Live In Asheville ’19 and Demos Vol.1 + Vol.2 via Bandcamp  and a live tour movie (and attendant album) Chunky Shrapnel, an up-close, unconventional and discombobulating portrait that captured the power and sheer oddness of the live Gizz experience, a tour that culminated in a sold-out headline show at London’s historic Alexandra Palace in late 2019.
