LISTEN: BEN CHACE UNVEILS MEDITATIVE NEW SINGLE ‘STORIES FROM THE EVERYDAY’

Ben Chace, the American musician and filmmaker now based in Paris, releases his contemplative new single ‘Stories from The Everyday’ on September 10th via Belgian-French indie label Capitane Records. The track offers a warm, meditative exploration of daily life’s hidden poetry.

“‘Stories from the Everyday’ is about the small gestures and invisible loops of daily life — the quiet struggles, the modest hopes, and the poetry hidden in the ordinary,” explains Chace. “I wanted the song to feel warm and meditative, like watching time slowly pass and realizing there’s beauty even in the smallest movements.”

The single precedes Chace’s debut EP ‘Homecooking’ (November 2025), co-produced with Nicolas Michaux and featuring Congolese virtuoso Rodriguez Vangama and Belgian drummer Morgan Vigilante.

Chace’s work spans continents and cultures, reflecting his curiosity for history and the threads linking disparate people across time and space. In the 2010s, he led Brooklyn roots rock band Bird Dog, performing at Mercury Lounge, Rough Trade, and Bowery Ballroom while directing acclaimed music documentaries including ‘Wah Do Dem’ (Jamaica, featuring The Congos and Norah Jones) and ‘Sin Alas’ (Cuba).

After moving to New Orleans in 2019, he produced and directed ‘Music Pictures: New Orleans’, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival alongside four LPs for legends including Irma Thomas and Ellis Marsalis. He’s currently completing ‘My Journey To The Sky’, an Irma Thomas documentary featuring Jorge Ben, Trombone Shorty, Valerie June, and more, anticipated for 2026.

‘Stories from The Everyday’ is out September 10th via Capitane Records.
