LISTEN UP: The Covasettes ‘Wild’

Fresh faces on the new music scene, The Covasettes, are marking their territory with preppy, poppy new single, ‘Wild’.

While ‘feelgood’ is usually a term lent to television programs about finding love in hotels, bands such as The Kooks and Phil Collins’ ‘Can’t Hurry Love’, it also quaintly describes the sound that The Covasettes make.  The Manchester quartet are the latest band to cut their teeth in the city by producing gleeful music for hazy summer evenings down at the beach.  While the weather may physically be getting colder, the warmth of ‘Wild’ will send you soaring into that newfangled, feelgood place.

‘Wild’ screams summer.  From its jangling guitar riffs, its general vivacity and the silky vocals from frontman Chris Buxton – it is an exuberant joyride from beginning to dramatic finish.  Clocking up three minutes on the clock, The Covasettes will have you plunging for your nearest dive bar to reminisce, daydream and spend time with your nearest and dearest.  Never before has a band sounded so friendly via their music.

About the track, Buxton said “We’ve been sitting on Wild for a while now and we’re so excited to be finally releasing it, it’s definitely the most hyped we’ve been for a song.”
