‘Rising Heights’ is the new single from Drew McConnell’s Helsinki. This side project of Drew McConnell, bass player in Babyshambles and musician to the stars, has its first single taken from his brand new album, A Guide for the Perplexed. ‘Rising Heights’ is out on February 23rd with A Guide for the Perplexed following swiftly on March 2nd.
A Guide for the Perplexed features guest artists such as Pete Doherty, Albert Hammond Jr, Fionn Regan and Emma Gillespie. Helsinki incorporates the talents of drummer Seb Roachford (Polar Bear), bassist Spencer Brown, guitarist Matt Park (Mystery Jets), keyboardist Stephen Large (Squeeze, Paul Heaton) and percussionist Jamie Morrison (The Noisettes, Stereophonics). These are just some of the wonderful musicians all to feature in McConnell’s new work.
Helsinki will be playing one London show in support of the release of the new single ‘Rising Heights’:
