Fusing together irresistible guitars with poignant raps, Courts aka Dan, Luke, Reece, Chris and Joe have returned with a brand new track entitled ‘Sanatana’. Hailing from Basildon in Essex and making self-confessed “music with a message,” the band have received support from the likes of Huw Stephens and were also hailed as Zane Lowe’s last ever ‘Next Hype’ with their previous single ‘Part Of’.
‘Sanatana’ is a track that catches the ear straight away; building into a dreamy chorus and fusing together all the different influences that the band share. With inspiration deriving from Disco, Hip Hop, Indie, and beyond, Courts’ sound lends itself to something truly unique. Featuring guitar sounds reminiscent of the great Carlos Santana, whose name bears a strikingly similar resemblence to that of the track, the instant vibe this track creates gets it off to the perfect start and it never drops from there.
Creating a hybrid genre that’s almost impossible to define, Courts serve the purpose of filling an open gap in the UK Scene. Bringing back a guitar-heavy, Summer sound that feels like a festival anthem-in waiting, ‘Sanatana’ promises to linger long in the memory after the first listen.
