LISTEN: Granville Sessions unveil latest track ‘Calgon Sunrise’

Having appeared as guests on the most recent edition of the Gigslutz Urban radio show (here), we’re excited to be able to share the latest track from the unique and hugely exciting collective Granville Sessions. ‘Calgon Sunrise‘ is a dark and mysterious offering that fuses the brilliant live instrumentation of the group with their ability to create moody, dramatic Hip Hop perfectly. Every track the group releases is a slightly different style from the last and this latest release changes up their sound again, although we think this is definitely one of their best releases to date.

Granville Sessions are five musicians and three MCs from London who join forces to make a live eight piece Hip-Hop group that integrate traditional sample based Hip-Hop beats with the backing of an outstanding live band. Their vibrant shows have allowed them to perform at the world-renowned Boom Bap Festival and Boomtown Fair alongside Ghostface Killah, Dirty Dike and Rag N Bone Man, as well as share the stage with the likes of Congo Natty, Pharoahe Monch and Chali 2na (Jurassic 5).

Having already released two critically acclaimed albums and gigged extensively across the UK, the guys are now steadily working towards the completion of their new album. If ‘Calgon Sunrise’ offers any indication into the sounds we might be hearing on this new project then we’re certainly going to be in for something special.

Make sure you’re following Granville Sessions on Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest news and info on that release direct from the guys themselves.
